The school

About SWREA

What grades does SWREA serve?

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade for the Fall 2026 launch. Our students range from age 5 to age 10.

When does SWREA open?

Fall 2026. SWREA opens its doors as a full-day Christ-centered Montessori K-5 in Kissimmee, FL.

Is SWREA a Montessori school?

Yes. We are an American Montessori Society member school. Our K-5 classrooms use the Montessori approach — prepared environments, hands-on materials, mixed-age learning — woven through with Christ-centered character formation.

Where is the school located?

1904 Michigan Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34744 — the same building as Solid Rock Community Church, our sponsoring congregation.

Faith

Is SWREA a Christian school?

Yes. SWREA is sponsored by Solid Rock Community Church (Church of God), a Pentecostal Christian congregation that has served Kissimmee since 1968. Our statement of faith mirrors the sponsoring church's — read more on Faith & Values.

Do families need to be Christian to enroll?

We welcome families from all backgrounds. We're straightforward about who we are — Christian formation runs through every part of our school day — and we ask families to enroll knowing that.

Tuition & scholarships

Paying for it

How much does SWREA cost?

Tuition is $8,000 per student per year. For most Florida families, Step Up For Students scholarships cover the full amount. Many families pay $0 out-of-pocket. See the math.

Is SWREA part of Step Up For Students?

Yes, SWREA is an approved Step Up partner for the FTC, FES-EO, and FES-UA scholarship programs. We help families apply.

What if my Step Up scholarship is delayed?

We never penalize a family for state-side delays. Your child starts on day one; we route the funds once approval comes through.

The Founding Class

The Founding Class

What is the Founding Class?

The Founding Class is our launch cohort — 24 students across K-5 for Fall 2026. The children who join now help shape who SWREA becomes.

How are the 24 seats awarded?

On a rolling basis. We review applications as they come in and make decisions on a first-come, fit-first basis. Apply early for the strongest position.

What do Founding Families get?

Guaranteed roster spots, input on colors and traditions, an exclusive monthly forum with Pastor Tim, and the satisfaction of building something with us. See the full list.

Year-one trust

Should I be worried about a brand-new school?

Honest answer: every new school is a leap of faith. SWREA is sponsored by a 58-year-old church, led by an MTS-credentialed Head of School who is deeply tied to the Kissimmee community, and credentialed by the American Montessori Society. The institutional foundation under SWREA is much older than the school itself.

What happens if enrollment is below target?

Solid Rock Community Church is committed to operating the academy through the launch year regardless of headcount. We will not over-promise small classes and then over-pack them.

Where can I see the school physically?

Visits are part of our admissions process. After you submit a short application, we'll be in touch within one business day to schedule. You're also welcome to visit Solid Rock Community Church on Sundays at 9 AM or 11 AM — same building.
