How much does private school cost in Kissimmee?

We read the published tuition sheets of the private elementary schools within about ten miles of Michigan Avenue so you do not have to. Here is what families are actually being charged for 2026-27, and the questions that expose the real cost.

The short answer

Published kindergarten to fifth grade tuition at private schools in and around Kissimmee runs from about $7,650 to $13,900 a year for 2026-27. Most schools also add registration, curriculum, technology or materials fees on top, and several do not publish their tuition at all.

Because the average Step Up For Students scholarship is around $8,000, the number that matters is not the tuition. It is the gap between the tuition plus fees and your award. That gap is what you actually pay.

What schools charge, by type

These ranges come from tuition sheets the schools publish on their own websites, checked in October 2026. One school's figures were still for 2025-26.

  • Christian schools using textbook curricula such as Abeka or BJU: about $7,650 to $9,450 a year, plus fees that range from about $150 to $950.
  • Montessori schools in Kissimmee and Celebration: about $10,000 to $13,900 a year, plus registration and materials fees of up to about $575.
  • International Baccalaureate and other premium private schools in Celebration: $13,000 a year and up, plus activity and enrollment fees.
  • Several established Kissimmee schools do not publish tuition online. You will need to call and ask for a full fee schedule.

The extras that are not in the tuition

The tuition line is rarely the whole bill. These are the add-ons local schools list separately. Step Up can pay some of them at some schools, but not all of them, so ask.

  • Before-school care: about $1,125 to $1,250 a year.
  • After-school care: about $2,250 a year.
  • Lunch: up to about $1,500 a year where a lunch plan is sold.
  • Registration, curriculum, technology and materials fees: from $75 to over $900.
  • Field trips, athletics and uniforms: often $35 to $200 each.

  • What is the total cost for my child's grade, including every fee, after the Step Up award?
  • Do you require admissions testing, a minimum grade average, or church membership?
  • Must my child already speak fluent English to apply?
  • How many children are in the class, and how many adults?
  • How does my child get to and from school if I am working?
  • What happens if my scholarship is approved after the school year starts?

Where SWREA fits

Still We Rise Excellence Academy is a Christ-centered Montessori school for kindergarten through fifth grade at 1904 Michigan Avenue. Tuition is $8,000 a year with no separate registration or materials fee, so the average Step Up award covers it in full and most families pay $0 out of pocket.

Classes are twelve children to a teacher. Children from Spanish-speaking homes are welcome and families can talk to us in Spanish. We have a transportation partner for families who need help getting to and from school. If your scholarship is approved late, your child still starts on day one.
